As Chair of Ohio Wesleyan’s Music Department, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our Woodwind Day website. The Ohio Wesleyan University Woodwind Faculty are very excited to offer Woodwind Day 2012, December 1st, which will be filled with many events and an opportunity to learn about, play and hear woodwind performances. All high school students and music teachers are welcome to participate. Several music vendors will be on-site and lunch will be provided with your registration. Student registration for Woodwind Day will credit towards the OWU President's High School Band Festival, held on January 18 & 19, 2013. Go to: http://music.owu.edu/festival/ for details on that event.

I hope that participating in our Woodwind Day will give you a taste of what life is like on our campus. Come explore college life here at OWU where theory is put into practice and prepare to be inspired by all our campus has to offer.  If you are a serious student who thrives on academic challenge, works hard, and desires to excel, I hope you will come with your eyes wide open. See what Ohio Wesleyan—where we put theory into practice—can do for you. I look forward to meeting you and, just as important, hearing your music making at Woodwind Day 2012 on December 1.
